Check out a few office pranks we like to play on our friends!
• Jelly Stapler
You’ll need a long time for this so it’s best if you know that your colleague will be gone for a long time. Once they’re gone, take their stapler off their desk and into the kitchen. You will need plenty of jelly cubes and a large tupperware container. Prepare jelly in the same way that you normally would then suspend your victims’ stapler inside of the tupperware container – this can be done easily with string sellotaped to the outside of the container. Carefully pour your jelly mixture into the container so that it surrounds the suspended stapler. Place the lid back onto the container and put it inside the office refrigerator. Leave to cool. In case your victim returns prematurely and enquires as to the whereabouts of their stapler, play dumb! After hours have passed and your jelly will have settled, remove the container from the fridge. Flip the tupperware upside down onto a plate. Wait until your victim leaves their desk for a moment and return their stapler to them, encased in jelly!
• Tin Foil Office
This prank is best done before or after work. You’ll need 500sq. feet of tin foil and a few hours time from a few dedicated individuals. Encase everything in tin foil. Attention to detail is the key here; phone wires, individual pens, post-it notes, paperweights, everything. Open their office drawers and take everything out, cover it all in tin foil. Wrap everything tightly and sellotape it down just like wrapping Christmas present! When they return they’ll be in for a huge shock as their office stares back at them in tin-foil silver!
• Glued Phone
When your co-worker leaves their office space unattended, sneak over to their telephone. Lift the receiver and apply super glue to where the phone touches the base. Upon their return and once the glue has had time to settle, prank call their office number and watch as they throw their telephone all over the office!
• The Boss wants to see you
When you know that your boss is in an important meeting, this is prime time to trick one of your colleagues. Approach your victim and sincerely notify them that their boss would like to see them immediately in the boss’ office. Little does your victim know that they’ll be walking directly into an important meeting!
• Sellotape mouse
A great gag to play on the office geek with the optical mouse! While they’re not around, go to their office space and turn their mouse over so that you’re looking at the red laser. Apply a single strip of sellotape over the laser on the bottom and return the mouse to its original position. Keep an eye out for their return and how utterly confused they’ll be!
• Keyboard switcharoo
This trick is best played on someone in your office who isn’t the most computer savvy. When their computer is unattended, pry individual keys off of their keyboard. Make sure you muddle all the keys up and click them back in different positions. Watch as they desperately try to type out that important report but their keyboard isn’t doing what they expect! For added fun you can spell out words as you reapply the loose keys – just so they feel an even bigger fool when they realise!
